I love watching the seasons change. My favorite transition is winter to spring. I wish you could see out my office window right now. The sun is out, and the sky is a beautiful blue. The trees that were exposed a week or two ago, are now clothed with leaves. Bright flowers are popping up all over the place. One season has bled into another. It’s amazing how quickly things change.
How have things changed for you in the last few months?
Are you at the same job or are you trying something different?
Are relationships stronger or have they grown sour?
Are you in the same house or another location?
Is the whole family home or have some moved away, or gone to be with Jesus?
Are you in better health or not so much?
Are you happier or is it harder to find reasons to smile?
No matter how you answer those questions, one thing has not changed. The God who was by your side then, is by your side still, and will be forever. Whatever the winds of change have blown your way, good, bad, or otherwise, the God who loved you then, still loves you now.
Like always…
His strength will bring courage for every new trial.
His power will bring hope for every new dilemma.
His word will bring wisdom for every new puzzle.
His grace will bring comfort for every new sorrow.
His forgiveness will bring peace for every new fault.
All that means his presence will bring joy for every new day.
In a world that changes often…build your life on the God who doesn’t.
